Track 4

Where the Buddleia Blooms

Posted on Posted in When daylight Arrives

Where the Buddleia blooms
Down by Western gate
Promise you’ll be there soon and I promise I’ll wait
For any chance to bring you close to me
Say you want that too
We’ll shoot the breeze and laugh at everything
That love can make us do

Where the Buddleia blooms
Please pick some for me
Such a subtle perfume
I’m sure you agree
There’s nothing subtle ‘bout the way you look
When I catch your eye
So come and tumble in my loving arms
And we’ll watch the world go by
Where the Buddleia blooms
Down by Western gate

And as I look out of my wind
On another rainy summers day
I’m grateful for the feeling of contentment washing over me again
Rising up through the pavement
Stretching on a lazy afternoon
Up to the skyline
Where the Buddleia blooms

Where the Buddleia blooms now grows a new tree
It’s planted by you
it’s tended by me
And all the kids will come and take a look and swing in our tree
And we’ll be happy ’bout the road we took
And the life that came to be
Where the Buddleia blooms
Down by Western Gate…
