Let’s chase the sun

Let’s chase the sun

Let’s chase the sun
They turn the clocks back, I go back too!
Come on! let’s chase the sun
Let’s chase the sun, Let’s chase the sun
Frost on my window, salt on my shoes
Come on! let’s chase the sun
Let’s chase the sun, let’s chase the sun
All around are tired places
worn-out people tired faces
isn’t it time for us to find…..

Somewhere warm, we can hide in the hollow
Somewhere blue where the sea is so shallow
You’ll come home to me when evening comes
And we’ll have the best life
Let’s chase the sun

The birds are leaving somehow they know It’s time to chase the sun
Let’s chase the sun, Let’s chase the sun
If we leave now then we’ll beat the snow
Come on! let’s chase the sun
Let’s chase the sun, Let’s chase the sun
I won’t say I have no desire To sit with you beside a fire but
Why can’t it be beside the sea?

Somewhere warm’ we can hide in the hollow
Somewhere blue where the sea is so shallow
You’ll come home to me when evening comes
And we’ll have the best life
Let’s chase the sun

We’ll quit our jobs and pack the car
With a fishing rod and an old guitar
There’s nothing left to keep us here
Do you really want all the wind and rain for one more year?
I didn’t think so!

All our friends will say we’re crazy
Immature and downright lazy
Who cares what anybody says?
We just need….

Somewhere warm we can hide in the hollow
Somewhere blue where the sea is so shallow
You’ll come home to me when evening comes
And we’ll have the best life
Let’s chase the sun
